Jack Miller was born in Chicago and moved to Sioux City, Iowa in 1932. He received degrees from Creighton University (A.B.), Catholic University (M.A.) and the Columbia University Law School. He worked as a tax lawyer, a writer and an educator. He served in the Air Force during World War II. In 1955 he was elected to the Iowa House of Representatives, representing Woodbury County for 2 years. He was elected to the Iowa Senate, serving from 1957 until 1960 when he was elected to the United States...
